Worship As a Lifestyle
You always prepare to meet someone important, right?
You always prepare to meet someone important, right?
We have made it into 2019. How did that happen? 2018 was a challenging year and 2019 contains no magic promise of peace and prosperity. But, that doesn’t mean we are at the whims and the mercies of the calendar; neither does it mean we need to resign ourselves to whatever may come our way.
As Christians, we should face the New Year in the same way we face any time, or any day, by devoting ourselves to prayer!
Prayer changes lives. Prayer changes outcomes. Prayer changes hearts and minds and futures. Prayer isn’t an exercise in frustrated hope, it is the lasting seed of real, promised, hope.
Most of all, prayer is our surrender to God of history, the history-maker. It is our recognition that our hope is found in the One who entered into history and who promises to bring history to a certain, glorious reality–the reality God has always intended.
What better way to start the New Year than with a series on prayer? May it help us to move deeper into our fellowship with God while it helps us grow in the confidence of our place in His plan.
“For we do not preach ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake.”
(2 Corinthians 4:5, NIV)

Every Wednesday we get together to to GROW.
First we begin with prayer at 7:00 pm. A group of dedicated people lift up to the Lord the ministries and concerns of the congregation and community. If you have a concern you would like prayed for, or if you would like to be present to be prayed for, you can email Grant.
Then, at 8:00 pm, we have our Bible Study. This is a time of informal, relational study together. We have a lot of laughs and lot of serious discussion as we seek to understand and apply God’s Word to our lives.
